We Broke Our 4WD Power Wheels Go Kart on the FIRST JUMP! Road Test, Fuel Tank, Floor Mounted!

168K views24

We change the final drive gear on our Tillotson 228cc powered four wheel drive power wheels go kart, and take it for a spin! The gearing is still too tall, but it’s already performing much better. Ike takes the power wheels go kart off a jump, and soon after the front suspension falls apart because we hadn’t used proper locking nuts during assembly. We bolt the front suspension back together with the proper hardware, build floor pans, build a fuel tank and seat, and take it for another spin. We still need a gas and brake pedal, and a slightly shorter gear, but so far this little ford bronco go kart rips and the suspension feels great!

Ike kinda looks like arthur morgan from rdr2

    2. JYD

Now you have to get yourself a knome to put in the garage... Er shop

    3. Bryant Thornock

Just a little tip for the next time you guys make a sealed container. If you drill an air/pilot hole before you seal of the last few areas with weld material you won't get as many leaks in those welds. If you don't do that, it essentially does what it did when Ike was trying to weld with it pressurized but not so drastic. This is just something that I learned when I was doing a pressure box in my welding class at school. Thanks for all of the great stuff you guys do! It has inspired me more that you might think.

    4. Matt Willard

Looking like Grind Hard Plumbing Company. usfilm.info/fire/e7mbeaWQeNt00pU/video.html

    5. Dax Carr

You guys definitely need an anti-sway bar every time Isaac tries to jump it it’s leaning to the left have an excellent day

    6. Grape Fox

the fox running across infront of u is the foxos, saying this build will ZOOM and itll be awesome, and as im a fox, i also say it will zoom

    7. Nathan Stribrny

You guys could really use a tig welder. Everlast is cheapish and works good.

    8. alangri2000

I'm watching this in Jan 21 so it's probably been addressed but I don't see a fill neck. Also was thinking a small jerry can gas tank would be cool on the back.

    9. William Wille

Did you make sure you cleaned out metal shavings from drilling it before you put in the bung for fuel line

    10. fishing and camping with john

typical ford broken down being towed lmao

    11. saha6818

Ike is the pulse pump (when he bounces on the seat).

    12. johnnybikesalot

I would love to weld a squishy suspension like this onto my basically rigid manco dingo, that would be so cool.

    13. Carl's Computer Hardware

hey i just found this it might help with your turning issues. here is the video. usfilm.info/fire/bLuiZmaaa9GryZ0/video.html&ab_channel=What%27sgoingoninDoug%27sShed%3F

    14. Jimmy C and Friends

Now you guys need to build a Recovery Vehicle

    15. TanTheMan

What gear ratio are y'all are running? I've got a stage 1 Predator 420 on a little 2 seater running about 4.11 I believe and the drive pulley never pulls in, the clutch does perfect but the drive pulley stays all the way out the whole time. (Series 40 GPS)

    16. Ervin Goertzen

You guys could use a hydraulic motorcycle lift

    17. Donald Fuller

You guys need to challenge yourselves and do a build that's up to the builds coming out of the grind hards stable.

    18. RotarE30 Guy

Yo what's the update with the pond? Did it ever clear up?

    19. Shawn Waters

Is there another phone number for go powersports ... I wanna order a lot of stuff

      1. Zark Muckerberg

Yes, 866-846-5278. I don't think they do phone orders though. They have a website(I doubt there is a limit to the cart) as well: www.gopowersports.com

    20. Adam

would love if you were able to ship to 🇨🇦 🍁 🇨🇦 I would buy some merchandise.

    21. Official. TrillWill

Hello community I just need SUM HELP, I recently built a go kart predator 212 engine and it took me around a month to two months in between waiting for the parts and putting it together the upgrades that I made are governor removal, oil sensor removal, upgraded air filter, upgrade jet I check the oil fuel and the gas fuel and everything is perfect please help!!? I crank it up and it shakes like it wants to do something.....

    22. Donald Tavares

      Nice Seatank right there!

    23. Alexander Lundgren

Get in touch with this guy and build a crazy electric gocart and run the CnC-GP!!! Austinwawa: usfilm.info/cold/kURR2CLd5iDc0B11rSkFeg.html

    24. Steven Haynes

How come you guys decide to slow everything down

    25. Oldiron

My gosh! There is a lot of technology in this thing for a simple little go cart. It’s got NASA level gantry crane bracing, Indy 500 simulated sprockets, heavy construction chains and gearing. All without any cad cam drawings or even so much is a scribble on the back of a tavern napkin. Incredible job

    26. Kyle Nichols

I hope y'all see this! I need help/advice! I put together a cart for my daughter for Xmas, it is a 1993 manco 2 seater and it had a 5hp brigs, well that motor needed more than I wanted to do so, I had a 6.5 hp honda that I put on, got everything workingish... The problem I'm having is the belt is just a hair to tight and the cart basically doesn't have neutral. My question is how do I measure the belt, and who do you recommend I buy one from?!?!? I hope to hear from yall!

    27. Logan Rowe

      bring back the 440 Murry

    28. DamLit Productions

"Isuck" It wont be fine,, I get "The learn as we go along" WORDS, but both you have lots of experience by now, and a mechanic, How are you still showing us "BODGE JOB DEATH TRAPS....We feel your pain come through on the videos....F Life Insurance, Write up a "WILL"...be fine...

    29. Earl Dupont

Stretch the chassis a little....more room for Issac

    30. Kenny Campbell Jr

When are you guys resurrecting the Cross Cart?

    31. Dylan Bradley

I’m loving the beard guys hahahaha

    32. Dax Carr

It would be absolutely hilarious of Taylor got a chance to drive that

    33. Gv Chevy

Ive been watching you guys for 3 years now and i still cant figure out why you guys dont make your carrs bigger for issac when you guys build them. Make the carts bigger for you guys. I wouldnt want to ride something this small.

    34. LindaStevensBZ

You could probably sell those little trucks

    35. Mike Puckett

You guys might consider motorcycle handlebars and controls on this one

    36. Michael Dover

Looks uncomfortable sitting on it maybe some pegs or something just looks cramped cool look though

    37. akkudakkupl

Hey guys maybe you could measure your built engines real power... It's super easy to build a simple chassis dyno with arduino and some hardware bits. If you want help with software side of things contact me ;-) Basicaly what you need to do is: Get a large diameter pipe - measure the diameter, weigh the pipe - this will be your dyno roller. Weld end caps on the pipe, add axis, self aligning bearings, etc. hardware. You need to calculate your roller moment of inertia (moment of inertia for a hoop around its symetry axis = roller mass times radius squared). Now you need a sensor that will pulse once per roller revolution - this can be an induction sensor that will sense a tooth welded to your roller axis. Your instrumentation device will measure time intervals between roller revolutions and send that data to your computer (arduino through serial link - real simple). From this data you will calculate your angular velocities and angular acceleration - Excel or OpenOffice will make this real easy and give you graphs ;-) Your torque at given angular velocity is your angular acceleration times roller moment of inertia. Your power at given angular velocity is angular velocity times torque.

HELP!! What causes derailment on the MB200-2 more, the 60t or the suspension lift? I'm trying to make a life altering decision here so any input would be GREATLY appreciated! I'm running a stage 2 plus a 14cc head with a CS grind cam and 22# springs for 7,000rpm. I'm already going to get a juggernaut but I need some guidance for the sprocket, you think a 54t with a juggernaut is a good idea since I'm jacking about 15hp?

    39. Lucas Nolte

It’s Primes the fuel lines when you sit down😂

    40. J0rdanRaY 508

Throw it out!! This is hard to watch

    41. J0rdanRaY 508

Been a long time sub. No offense but this thing sucks, too small, and need a giant kitten on the hood! 😹😹😻

    42. Rob's small engine antics

I have an idea that I think would be a challenge, this is the only way I know of to get my idea to you. A mini bike with a super stretched frame, 420cc predator... and build it to look like the drag bikes that the rider almost lays down on his stomach. Or if you have a big 2 stroke motor with transmission that would have more potential.

    43. Hockey Sockeys

Dose anyone know where I can get a yerfdog

    44. danny stubblefield

      Blue locktite is your friend.

    45. Chanler Johnson

You got any dirt bikes you would get rid of

    46. tyler238

      Looks cramped

    47. Quetzalcoatl Toltec Sun God

Any news on a new drag rail build I really want to see one with a twin 400cc 2 stroke engine.

    48. jose Garcia

Hey guys do you still offer a coupon code for go power sports ??

    49. SportbikerNZ

This was a great episode. It's shaping up awesome.

    50. Tim Fetters

Here’s my advice to help you have a happy and prosperous new year: if you find leaks in the gas tank (which is awesome, btw) after you’ve put gas in it, don’t touch up the welds! LOL Pour a liner in it.

    51. Harsh Fire

I would say to stiff just the rear a little bit

    52. Mark Schaffer

yall need a heater ,i can see yall breath lol

    53. Larry Fogle

Extend the wheelbase 12” to 18” in the middle. Might as well make it rider friendly.

    54. willowbrook hermit

Look at the old Willis jeets you're setting on the gas tank

    55. sleeperking01

You guys should have made it atleast an inch 1/2 longer so its more comfortabe feet wise

    56. willowbrook hermit

What did you do with the electric motors Hook them up to a bicycle.

    57. Wade Wright

Y'all really need a sump for the fuel tank. It's so wide and shallow.

    58. James McGee

This kart is awesome guys. There are plenty of free gear ratio calculator apps out there. Forget all of the guess work and take advantage of those Phone apps.

    59. akkudakkupl

      Cool thing

    60. Peter Emery

Will the fuel filler be side or rear-mounted?

    61. Built Minis

Are you surprised it broke lol

    62. Nathan Louis

I think you need more commercials

    63. WrenchandRip

even though its way too soft it is cool to watch all your suspension work in action

    64. TandM bros

I think it needs handle bars instead of a steering wheel

    65. Bo Boura

Nice build. But whatever happened to that diesel engine and why hasn't it been put in the monster truck ? Its already a torque monster why not go ballz to the walls with the torque . Burnouts that pulls the earth out of rotation

    66. Micah LeVoy

What happened to the video you posted today? Did it get taken down?

    67. Jay Titus

Where is your holiday burnout? See VGG to see what I mean. Gitter done!

    68. John Brown

Beef up the rear suspension a bit and you got it....

    69. Lyle Williams

u guys should make a go kart that looks and performs just like the go kart on gta 5

    70. Ihave Noclue

Ike in his size 12. I'm crying in size 14 😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣

    71. g meeks

Ok guys I have a idea for you . Try to use 21 speed bicycle gearing on a project,it would be like a big rig with a high low axle :)

    72. Jon g

Need heavier shocks like atv shocks not go kart shocks at least for the rear

    73. Mark Rogers

      That looks great guys!

    74. Cameron Wilson

Hook the gas pedal up to the steering wheel it would work good for crawling

    75. Matthew Soltis

Hey can i get youre email just watched the live

      1. Zark Muckerberg

Jinzerillo64@gmail.com At least that's the email from their about page.

    76. XtReMe DiY

      I am building a tecumseh ah600 any carb suggestions? 98cc 2 stroke.

    77. Charles Levac

Hi Guys for the gearing. Why did you guys decide to go to a bigger sprocket in stead of going to a smaller front sprocket. You needed a big change and going down 1 or 2 teeth would be a bigger change in gearing then going up a bunch of teeth on the rear. Just wondering..

    78. Logan Aldridge

Where is the Murrayt kilowatts with the arctic cat motor it has been sitting for three years

    79. Edward Wynn

Chances of getting a 2020 in review video?

    80. isac scot

      big clap on trying tho

    81. isac scot

dont do any more on dat

    82. Nick W

You guys should really do some research on shock angles and pivot points, you could literally screen shot USfilm videos of off road cars, sand cars and the like and measure the angles to make things work better looking at the angle of those rear shocks vs the articulation of the rear end seems like the shocks really aren’t dampening anything, just side loading the shock shafts.. , just a suggestion. I like the videos regardless just thinking you guys are holding your skills back a little, I think you guys have the ability to do wayyy more if you just look up the angles

    83. Caleb Todd

Should do a give away on one of those carts. By selling merch

    84. Legoman585

The power wheels looked awesome coming around the corner before the jump.

    85. How to Paint with Brettski

Back of seat you have bar going straight across, maybe Ikes butt will have more room if you curved that rear bar?..

    86. Eli Renigar

I’d extended the wheelbase dead in the center just a tad for posterity

    87. Michael Mezey

Great build just think you guys should have made the frame longer it would handle alot better

    88. Trevor Miller

      Happy New year! 🥳

    89. michael Thomas

I hope it works out for you guys but I don't think it's a very good idea using a bigger disc and that other brake caliper I think that they're supposed to be a match set because of a bigger circles going to make a difference in your caliper grab of the disc which is why even cars when you upgrade the discs you have to upgrade the calipers because they're bigger calipers for bigger rotors

    90. Chicken Fingers

For the fuel tank you can just weld it up, seal the out side with jbweld and coat the inside with tank liner

    91. Luke Benton

Y’all should make a qna and one of the questions should be what y’all do for a living

    92. Joel Ducsai

Can you guys start using good suspension even use stuff from the front end of past 20 years of 4 wheelers rather than........ the lower quality shocks you use??

    93. Tom Kimbrel

Am I missing something; maybe a fuel filler neck and a gas cap? Somehow a way to fill the tank and a vent?

    94. samiam20024

      Turbocharged briggs and stratton engine

    95. skullboi2012Plays

This thing is sweet but you might want to stretch it just a little bit more

    96. three wheela

Sitting on the gas tank? Yeah no thanks.

    97. Review Account

Needs some back support, at least a simple hoop with a pad on it.

    98. apaudorff

Stretch it some, seems way to short of a wheelbase to actually be able to floor it

    99. sportster davidson

You could just drill a hole for cotter pins , no need for lock nut , besides that ive had lock nuts back off in the past .

    100. josh blainer

Do you guys still have the 420cc single seater off-road kart? That would be a cool revival
